Abstract

This article presents a reflection on the representativeness of authors, texts and literary modes in the Portuguese external assessment tests of 2nd and 3rd cycle of basic education held between 2009 and 2021 and in the curricular documents by which they were governed . Thus, after contextualizing the relationship between literary texts, external evaluation and curricular programs, the presence (vs. absence) and predominance (vs. forgetfulness) of authors, expressions of literature (Portuguese, in Portuguese language and in foreign language) are analyzed. and literary modes (narrative, lyrical, dramatic) in both types of documents, establishing relationships with phenomena such as the pluricentrism of the Portuguese language and with the interculturality that increasingly characterizes the Portuguese education system.
