Abstract

The neurosciences help to identify the neural risk markers, that is, we can, in a way, through a good functional assessment, understand if there is risk, if some part of a child's brain is not corresponding as we wanted so that she can have a normal learning.   The improvement in the understanding of the neural bases of cognitive representations, on the part of Evolutionary Psychology, allows us to perceive some representations concerning some of the functions, for which today we can create models, which explain exactly what we are talking about and how the process works, the brain in relation to them (language, literacy, numeracy, etc.), which are the basic skills for education, especially initial education.   Understanding how the brain works does not imply new pedagogical recipes. We are far from pedagogical recipes. We have to understand how things work.
