‘Português à Vista’
Learning platform for the development of teaching and learning oral comprehension of Portuguese as a Non-Maternal Language
Abstract
'Português à Vista' is a digital platform of audiovisual teaching materials for teaching and learning Portuguese as a Non-Maternal Language that results from a research project carried out at the University of São José, in Macau, with the main objectives of responding to new challenges imposed by digital forms of speech representation and the difficulties that learners at various levels of linguistic proficiency experience in understanding oral texts. In this article, we will learn about the theoretical foundations that led to the creation of teaching materials that, as will be seen, give great relevance to activities arising from the metacognitive approach (still practically absent from existing teaching materials in this area). We will then present the platform, explaining its functionalities, organization of materials and the structure of teaching sequences.
