The number of dreams we have – the quantifiers
A didactic sequence for the 1st Cycle of Basic Education
Abstract
The teaching sequence presented has as its main focus the teaching-learning of a grammatical content: the quantifier word class, from a perspective that promotes the “development of linguistic awareness and explicit knowledge of the structure, rules and uses of the Portuguese language” ( Ministry of Education, 2018:2). In this sense, the didactic proposal presents the introduction of this grammatical content in a contextualized and integrated way in a sequence of tasks that develops skills in the different domains of studying Portuguese described in Aprendizagens Essenciais (2018) (Essential Learning): grammar, speaking, reading, writing and literary education; as well as skills presented in the Perfil dos Alunos à Saída da Escolaridade Obrigatória (2017) (Profile of Students Leaving Compulsory Schooling), namely, languages and texts, information and communication, critical thinking and creative thinking and interpersonal relationships.
