Abstract
The need to integrate information and communication technologies into teaching became particularly evident during the pandemic period, during which face-to-face teaching had to give way to distance learning. Even after the (timid) return to in-person teaching, many students maintained distance learning for reasons of their own or their teachers' quarantine. In the post-pandemic period, there were several voices that stated that the school had changed, that nothing would be the same as before, especially because the time we live in – and, mainly, the time that current students will live in – will be increasingly virtual and demanding in terms of digital literacy skills. However, what is clear is that, in reality, the opportunity for change seems to be wasted and, with the definitive return to face-to-face teaching, ICT has once again been relegated to a completely secondary level in most of our schools, with special relevance in the 1st cycle of Basic Education.
