Playing also teaches: challenges on the REDA platform
Abstract
One of the main aims of education is undoubtedly to provide students with the necessary means to carry out broad, diverse learning, with an emphasis on critical reflection on the information received/ researched and mechanisms that facilitate access to and construction of reliable knowledge in different contexts, favouring collaborative work. The game thus has a fundamental place in learning and makes it possible to realise the objectives by getting students to solve problems, develop critical thinking and communication skills. The aim is therefore to use game resources as an example of how to motivate students to construct their own learning in the field of Portuguese culture and literature.
In this context, the REDA platform offers a wide range of open educational resources, aimed at both teachers and students, which make it possible to build and diversify strategies for acquiring knowledge and which clearly meet today's challenges.
