Learning to read ... doing guessing game!
Abstract
In this teaching sheet, the axis is in the metacognitive strategy of prediction, with the purpose of making a brief exposition of this strategy and presenting a set of possible activities, considering the linguistic levels, to be realized in the classroom of Basic Education.
The prediction consists of a strategy that assumes the perspective that the reader can read in advance, observing, according to the reading situation, the linguistic cues of the text, associating them with their previous knowledge and considering the nature of the text and the purpose of reading. This strategy, defined by Goodman (1967)[1] as guessing game, allows to understand it as a guessing game with support in these variables.
