The deixis as a tool for analyzing the literary text

Abstract

In this text, we present a brief reflection on how deixis can be seen not (only) as a mere grammatical content to be explicitly addressed in Portuguese classes in the 11th grade, but also as a “tool” to be placed at the disposal of service of analysis of valid literary texts for the development of literary reading competence.
Thus, at first we will make a brief theoretical framework of the phenomenon of deixis. Next, we will highlight the didactic potential of this theoretical notion, using, as an example, the Camonian sonnet “Tanto de meu estado me acho incerto”.
